Woven Bamboo
Blinds
Woven bamboo
blinds are made from natural bamboo and come with
a coordinating wooden acorn. Apart from a natural attractive
look, the weave allows varying light patterns to filter into
the room
The lift mechanism for the woven bamboo blinds works very much
like any window shade or blind. You pull the cord, and the
window shade raises to your desired level. And like any shade
or blind, the cord gets longer as the shade goes higher.
There is a way to eliminate having the cord extend. The
feature is called Continuous Cord Loop, and it is exactly what
it sounds like. When you mount your window shade, you also
attach the bottom of the looped cord to the window sill or
wall. To open your shade you simply pull on the cord in one
direction, and to lower it, you pull in the other
direction.
Woven bamboo blinds, known for generations as matchstick bamboo
blinds, are derived from a long tradition of skilled
craftwork. Improving on this ancient design with the use of
modern style and technology, and then offering a wide array
of styles, makes current bamboo window shades very popular
with designers alike. The uniqueness and style of the woven
feature of these types of blinds make them stand apart from
the regular bamboo blinds with their identical slats and one
tone pieces of wood.
